Fall Training Program: Registration Open

 
 

We’re excited to have Phil Rogers and Jonathan Rova coaching DXC’s Adult Training Program this fall! Now in its fifth year, the DXC fall program is open to adults (18+) who enjoy the structure and social aspect of an organized training group.

  • Tues. & Thurs. 6pm—7:30pm, Sept. 4th—Nov. 8th
  • Locations include Chester Bowl, Lakewalk, etc.
  • $150 (10 weeks, 20 sessions)

About the program: Workouts focus on ski-specific aerobic conditioning, strength, and balance. Several sessions involve roller skiing; DXC has roller-skis to lend if you don’t have your own. We also use medicine balls and bungees. Last year’s “roster” included men and women aged 30 to 60+, some of whom had been skiing for decades and others who were fairly new to skiing. If you have any questions/concerns, please email info@duluthxc.com. Note: you may attend the first week (Sept. 4 & 6) on a trial run for no fee!

About the coaches: Jonathan was active with the Grand Marais ski club prior to moving to Duluth with his family, and last winter he instructed on-snow technique clinics for DXC. Phil has coached youth and adults (in biathlon as well as skiing) for many years, and has a particular interest in getting more adults out skiing. You will have fun with these two!

    All right! I had a great time in this training group last year and I’ve been waiting to sign up again. The coaching was excellent and it was an all-around good time. I will probably only be able to make it 1 day per week – it will still be well worth it for me.

    I’m still coming …. where do we meet next week? Tuesday might not happen because of a work commitment.

    I am still planning on coming. Due to scheduling conflicts, it may be a while before I can show up, but eventually I will come!
